Message of thanks
A brief message of thanks to some truly remarkable individuals and organizations
In this world, we find people who care enough about others to take time to support them…people who give unreservedly and without any ulterior motives.
Right from the time that I decided to embark upon my dream of crossing Canada in support of a cause that is very near and dear to me, I have been surrounded by exceptional people, super individuals who understand that it is in giving that we receive, and it is in losing ourselves that we find our true selves.
In light of so much generosity on your part, I would like to express my profound gratitude.
To my wife, Brigitte, and my children, Pier-David and Priscilla, who have supported me with all their love during difficult times and who continue to believe in me, and of course not to forget Mollo, my faithful companion. Words fail me as I try to express to all of you my heartfelt thanks. I love you all with a capital “L”.
To my sisters, my brothers, my in-laws and all my friends for their indefatigable friendship and their most valuable assistance. Thank you for your big hearts and all your fine qualities that are too numerous to mention. And a special thought goes out to my big brother, Claude, who left us far too soon. Life will not be as magical without your presence and your love. I love you with all my heart.
Thank you to the Mira Foundation, and especially Éric St-Pierre, the founding chairman who agreed right from the outset to support me in my project, thereby gaining greater visibility throughout Canada for Mira.
I would also like to thank all those who have supported me by donating to the Mira Foundation. Your gifts will help improve the lives of persons with disabilities by giving them self-confidence, assurance, independence, and security, not to mention the comfort that comes with having a companion by their side each day.
I can’t end without pointing out the remarkable work of all those from far and wide who have contributed, each in their own way, to the realization of Michel Garant’s Challenge – from sea to sea for Mira. Your skills and your support are an inestimable driving force. Without you, this project could not happen.
Gratitude is the memory of the heart. [Henri Lacordaire]
